Hey everyone, howzit?
As you know, I’ve just been got added to Radar Radio’s playlist this week (woohoo..!) & this morning I actually did a phone interview with one of their hosts, Byron Cooke. I’ll keep you posted on when you can hear that, but the reason I’m writing is because I need your help.
Radar is holding a competition called Unsigned Finds, where basically an unsigned artist with the most ‘Likes’ on their profile gets crowned Radar’s Unsigned Find of the month. If you consider yourself a fan/supporter of my music, I need you to please head to my profile by clicking the pic below, then just hit ‘Like’. Too easy. The more the better too, so please spread the word to all your friends & family (that includes the social media world too).
It would really mean a lot to have your support!

While I was at the Usher concert last night, I got the most unexpected email come in on my Blackberry. The story goes like this…
Melbourne rap duo, Diafrix, have a new single called Simple Man, featuring Daniel Merriweather. Illusive are holding an event at Oxford Art Factory next week, with UK breakout star, Tinie Tempah, headlining & Diafrix supporting.
Merriweather’s currently globe-hopping between London & NYC, recording his new album, so he can’t be there to perform the single. After one of Illusive’s producers played their management a demo I’d written/recorded for him (totally unrelated) & checking out more on YouTube, Diafrix have now requested for me to do the show with them!
So I’m officially stepping in for the amazing Daniel Merriweather & joining Diafrix, in support of Tinie Tempah. What??! Man… This week has been like something out of a dream. So honored & grateful aye… Click on the pic for more info:

I’ve just been featured on Kidd U Not, a pretty huge lifestyle/fashion/entertainment blog over in America. I feel super honored, thank you to Kodak Boi!
I need your help though.
My song has been added to their Crank It Or Yank It section. A ton of music gets put through there, so I’m sure their visitors are pretty tough on new music! Need you all to please vote “Crank It” (if you dig the song, of course haha…). Would really appreciate it!

After a whole lot of waiting & my patience getting a prolonged workout, I’m so excited to let you all know that I’m currently listening to Epitome mastered. WOOOHOOO!
As I shared some time back, I was blessed to have the amazing Tom Coyne, from Sterling Sound over in New York, master this. He’s one of the biggest names in the business & has given his mojo to some of my favorites, including the most recent records from Usher, Maxwell, Adele & Jessie J.
Man… I feel like crying (haha…). Just can’t believe how this all worked out. It’s a rewarding moment, because from conception to reality, the make of this EP been one heck of a process! Will have to share more during the next online chat or something.
So happy to say that I’ve seen this through to completion & can’t wait to share it with you all really soon.

Wow… What a wait.
Finally sharing these song titles with you guys, can’t believe it. Pretty great feeling though :)…
Well, in no particular order, here they are:
The Fall
This is a fun, uptempo tune about falling for someone so hard, that you’re scared of moving too fast & turning them off (haha…).
Lyric excerpt: “Like you’re halfway up on a wall, almost reach the top and next thing you know… Then comes the fall…”.
Don’t You Think?
You all know this one. Just a universal, feel-good Pop/Soul song!
Lyric excerpt: “Man, girl you’re a tough act to follow, I wanna be the one to light up your tomorrow…”.
Summer Night
This is the real love song of the project. About being in love, but having distance pull you apart. Richard Marx & the storytelling approach of Country music really inspired me throughout Epitome, but more than ever on this song. Really wanted to capture that classic ballad feel, while still keeping things modern.
Lyric excerpt: “And miles begin to fade, as we laugh the nights away…”.
You
The most R&B/Soul leaning track of the record, this is laced with a sick drum loop & wall-to-wall background vocals. It actually came to me while hanging out laundry, true story (haha…). The late, great King Of Pop (especially his Off The Wall record) really inspired my vocal stylings on Epitome & diehard fans will be able to hear that influence on this track.
Lyric excerpt: “Funny how life kinda takes you places, that you’ve always dreamt but never thought you’d go…”.
Against A Wall
This song (for me) is the most personal song on the whole project. Anyone can relate to feeling like they’re against a wall in some way, whether in a relationship, at their school/workplace, financially, emotionally, spiritually… The list goes on. Set against Pop/Rock leaning production, this one reaches almost a vocally orchestral climax at the end.
Lyric excerpt: “Standing with dust in my eyes out on the edge of a street, trying to get across, is what it feels like when you’re… Against a wall…”.

I’ll go into the stories behind them, what inspired them, what they’re all about. Can’t wait to share them with you guys, I know it’s been a long time coming.
What’s more, I’ll be hosting a Ustream chat at 2pm (Sydney time) that day, taking questions & all of that. If you’re not familiar with UStream, just click on the tab to the right of this post to get sorted. And for all my international people, this will probably still be Thursday evening for you, with the time difference.
So lock it in your diaries, bring your questions & come hang with me for a bit ;)!

Adding to the UK love is DropOut UK. Wow… The headline is pretty bold. Personally don’t think I sound anything like him, but it sure is a compliment to be compared to Bruno Mars.
