“Everybody needs good neighbours…” 🎶

So excited to finally share that I’m coming back to Ramsay Street!! Man, it was even harder keeping it a secret this time around haha.

Tune in from Dec 11 here in Australia and Jan 12 over in the UK to see what happens next with Kane Jones.

Road to the ARIA’s

It’s ARIA Week and I’m stoked to have been at Nova’s Red Room ARIA edition and the ARIA Awards 2020, presented by Mitsubishi Motors Australia, to celebrate some of the best in Aussie music.

For the Red Rooms, four amazing ARIA nominees took the stage: Ruel and Amy Shark on night #1, and Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy on night #2.

As the face of Mitsubishi, I got to take people behind the scenes across the two concerts as well as the big day itself. Here are a few snaps from an incredible week 🎤

Fall At Your Feet

We’re living in days I never thought I’d experience in my lifetime.  The whole world’s in crisis and we’ve all been affected in some way by this volatile pandemic.

Like many industries, mine has been hit pretty hard.  And in support of the arts, I thought I’d cover a few of my favourite Australasian tunes.  If you enjoy what you hear, it would mean a lot if you’d please like, comment and share.

To kick things off, here’s Fall At Your Feet by Crowded House.

Reflections in Lockdown

Barry-Conrad-Lockdown

With many of us at home right now having a bit more time on our hands, I’m seeing a lot of messaging on social media urging people to spend their time a certain way.  To do this new thing or that new project…

I just want to sort of counter and diffuse that train of thought, and encourage anyone out there feeling overwhelmed or discouraged: please… don’t listen to those voices!

Sure, for some people it’s the perfect time for working on something they’ve wanted to for a while – the book, the song, the app, the home renovation – whatever it may be.  But for others, it’s also the perfect moment to catch their breath, take care of themselves and to just be…  Both sides are productive, important and valid.

Productivity isn’t measured by works.

So please don’t succumb to the expectation of others today or feel like you aren’t “doing” enough.  Especially in a time like this, what matters most of all is doing what’s best for you.
